Character information
Name: Mandi Osmund / Savior Suit | Powell
Canon: Sharp-Dressed Savior [Original] (Hypothetically a shoujo manga/anime adaption)
Canon point: Two months after Powell's arrival.
Age: 23.
OC history: Miranda Ariana Osmund née Mason is an ordinary girl. Born in 1998 to two loving parents and joined three years later by a little brother, she grew up knowing the love of family, the annoyance of a younger sibling that only you got to tease, and the kinship of friends. When she was eleven years old, Mandi was separated from the group on a field trip to the local museum. She wandered and was eventually directed to the large fountain, a city landmark, a few blocks away in order to wait to be found. There she met another boy from the year ahead of her who was waiting for his parents to finish up in the stuffy pharmacy after a doctor's appointment. They hit it off immediately: the boy's name was Alan and he was eleven years old, too, but his birthday meant they put him in a year later and that was really unfair because he was smaller than a lot of other kids and Mandi's hair was very pretty, did she always have to put it up in a silly ponytail like that? Once Alan's parents emerged, they helped her back to the museum and her group, but not before letting the children exchange phone numbers and stay in contact.

For the rest of the school year, Mandi determined to skip a grade and catch up with her new friend while often meeting with him between classes and inducting him into her own group of friends. Everyone hit it off, and it was obvious the two of them were already attached at the hip. Over the next several years, their friendship naturally evolved into dating when neither of them were really interested in seeing other people and everyone just assumed they were seeing each other anyway. Exactly ten years after they had met, and just before finishing college, Alan and Mandi were married. They soon graduated and found an apartment in the heart of the city where Mandi got a job as a greeting card illustrator and Alan worked as a limo driver. Things were good and peaceful for the two of them; despite student loans and the troubles of living in an expensive city, they hardly wanted for much and had plenty of friends with which to share their life.

Until one evening when Mandi woke up not only with a dream of unsettling and indistinct peril, but she found herself with a new piece of jewelry. It was a golden pendant, one side pure precious metal while the other was a finely-polished ruby. Alan was just as clueless as she was to where it came from; soon after he left for work, it became quite obvious. From inside the pendant emerged a voice and a form: it was a sprite, one that had named itself Powell, desperate for Mandi's help. This sprite in particular came from the sun and had meant to bind himself to someone called the Precious One, but had gotten turned around at some point or another and was now inextricably connected to Mandi. He told her that the Precious One was in grave danger from some of his evil brethren and needed to be protected at all costs. As it was impossible for a sprite to leave a host without dying, Mandi simply couldn't turn him away without some deep thought into the matter. Promising to think it over, Mandi went about the rest of her day with it in the back of her mind. She could no longer avoid it on her way home when streets were backed up for miles: up at an intersection ahead, cars had become animate like some kind of twisted cartoon and were destroying other vehicles in obvious search of something. Powell urged Mandi to borrow his power for now and stop it, no matter what she had actually decided.

Agreeing to do so, she tapped into Powell's strength and found herself transformed into Savior Suit, simply bursting with power and ability. Confidence blossomed from the transformation and she was able to fend off the Dark Sides' tactless assault with a little help from an ancient weapon called the Ageless Baton. She returned home after that and immediately spilled everything to Alan; it wasn't something she could keep secret from her spouse, nor would she want to. They decided that it was a responsibility she couldn't ignore and they would do everything they could to support the mission without tearing their own lives apart in the process. Alan signed himself up for first aid classes in order to deal with the bumps and bruises Mandi would inevitably come home sporting and Mandi herself started to interpret her dreams more and more literally as beacons of where the next Dark Side attack would spawn. It was almost a routine, aside from the fact that the Dark Sides never struck the same way twice and it was a difficult adjustment for Mandi to suddenly have so much resting on her shoulders. Even worse was that Alan had the unfortunately uncanny ability of being nearby in the case of most attacks and often unwittingly ramped up the stakes for every fight.

However, with each other there to support them, they fought onward. It wasn't about them, and they were determined to keep their world safe if they were the only ones who could do something about it.

Setting: In the year 2019, the world is not much different from our own. Modern technology exists, the economy is on its way to stabilization, and the state of world politics is stable enough that no one is in fear of nuclear fallout or World War III at least.

In this world, magic and supernatural elements are real. However, they are the things of skepticism and folklore and those with true gifts tend to keep them on the downlow for self protection or protection of their heritage; charlatans have also capitalized on the phenomena and people are much less likely to believe someone's abilities for true unless the power is strong or very difficult for a fake to duplicate. More or less like our own world in the manner of believers and those with their feet planted firmly on the ground. Among these extraordinary people also exist supernatural creatures, spirits, that live in the atmosphere and govern different elements of the world by working together to keep the forces spinning. These spirits are affectionately referred to as 'sprites' in the same way someone might tease another person about elves in a workshop or boogeymen under the bed. Outside of the world, the majority of sprite clusters are what we know as stars, such dense populations huddled together to power the all-important laws of physics that keeps the world spinning. The sun is the most important star there is as it governs time itself and for the sun to go out would result in collapse of causality and then the rest of the universe. Sprites have been known to bond to people, creatures and objects in order to empower them in times of need; when their duty is finished, they leave their host and disperse into the atmosphere as no more than mindless particles.

Powell, the sprite that has bonded to Mandi, is a wayward spirit of power from the sun. Dark Side sprites, the ones attempting to find the Precious One, are also from the sun; their wish is to not only power time, but control it with the Precious One's power, and take charge of the world they have been helpless to watch for so long. This is resultant of thousands of years of existence in such a dense mass leading to some sort of unholy hivemind forming in the oldest and weariest of sprites. (Hi, sunspots. How ya doin'?) However, their idea of forcing the earth's population back into the dark ages and into mindless worship of the sun like the good ol' days doesn't really jive with the rest of the sun's benevolence and so they have been driven into hiding and acting from the earth itself. Much as Powell was able to bond with Mandi's bright and good heart, the Dark Sides look for weak and injured hearts or precious objects to bind to in order to fully interact with the world and take what they want.

Mandi lives in [metropolitan city], a place that never truly sleeps. It sits on the center of a very large leyline and thus there is a higher population of the supernatural living in its boundaries, either having been born in the area or drawn subconsciously to the power there. It also makes the perfect spot as a base of operations for the Dark Sides to watch, wait and plot together outside of the eyes of their brethren so far up in the sky.

The Precious One is, in reality, {Alan Osmund himself. Powell's original intent to bind to the Precious One in order to grant him protection backfired when he was directed to Mandi instead: Alan had already given her his heart years previous, and so that was where Powell was led when following the trail of the Precious One's power. Due to the nature of his ability, Alan is/will be the cause of young Alan and Mandi's meeting way back when. If something were to happen to him, the loop would collapse and the Dark Sides would win by default.}

Personality:

Appearance: Mandi stands at around 5'5" when wearing flats, slightly shorter when barefoot. She has chocolate brown hair that reaches to her shoulderblades and amber eyes to go with a light, Caucasian complexion. More often than not, she simply lets her hair lie unless Alan decided to play with it, sometimes using a hairband more out of utility than looks. Her sense of fashion trends toward tomboyishly cute. Mandi's played-by is Ayano Tateyama from Kagerou Project.

Savior Suit is a rather different story. Although they stand at the same height, Suit is always immaculately dressed in fitted three-piece suits of different color and pattern coordination. Her hair is pleated back into a single braid and, to those who do not know her identity, her face is obscured by a Greek comedy mask bicolored in black and gold and her figure remains startlingly androgynous. To anyone that knows, only the golden half of the mask obscures the left side of her face; it emotes wildly in accordance to the situation and even speaks separate of Suit, as this is actually Powell when transformed.

Powell himself is a simple creature. When not taking physical form, it appears as an almost Kirby-like sprite with an emotional face and childlike voice. His physical container is a golden/jeweled pendant in the shape of a heart. When facing with the single point down, it appears as a golden locket; when flipped up along the chain so that the two bumps are facing downward and the back of the pendant is seen, there is a beautiful ruby with an upright, golden heart in the center. This is how Powell projects into the world when not manifested as Suit's mask.

Abilities: Mandi prides herself on being a well-rounded person. Whereas she dragged Alan to Home Ec classes in high school, Alan made sure she knew the ins and outs of repairing her own vehicles and taught her how to play basketball, etc. She has many skills applicable to an average lifestyle, although she admittedly loathes vacuuming or dusting while citing terrible (read: mild) allergies.

On the more spectacular side of things, ever since Powell has bonded with her heart, Mandi has gained higher stamina, more strength and quicker reflexes. They do not pass into superhuman, but are enough to make her much more capable than her petite appearance would suggest. When transformed into Savior Suit, she does in fact surpass the regular boundaries of the physical condition by becoming something superhuman in order to fight off her nonhuman enemies. Suit has instinctive knowledge of basic hand-to-hand combat and acrobatic feats of agility. She possesses what is called the Ageless Baton, a ruby baton of mystical properties that is capable of changing in size to act as a weapon and can also influence matter around it to create powerful, rending shockwaves or barriers out of the pure force that it generates. Although Suit's skill with the Baton has yet to grow past average, in it lies the potential to begin creating more complicated and sustainable effects.

Inventory: Basic clothes for the day. A wallet containing about $40USD, credit cards, a driver's license and photos of herself with friends as well as a wedding photo. Smart phone with 75% charge. Keyring with car keys, house keys and a few cute keychains. Simple, platinum wedding-band with diamond chips along the surface. Powell's pendant (see 'Appearance' above). She doesn't carry a purse, so most of her little amenities were lost when separated from her car.

Suitability: As an average person with greatness thrust upon her, Mandi has slowly become acclimatized to the idea of doing something amazing despite such acts not coming naturally to her. Given the nature of the game's war and its potentially-disturbing darkness, it only means Mandi will have to step up to the plate in a more active role, either as support to the real fighters or stepping in as Savior Suit in order to join the fight, and adapt in order to continue her duties as a protector. She may not have chosen the role, but she is learning to fit inside of it.

Suite: Wood District. Although Mandi's life is in a large state of flux as of recently, she has always been an active person with concerns of making a peaceful life for herself, her friends and her family. Her life as Suit has recently led her to fight rather than choose flight, she does so out of necessity to protect than any real reason of getting into it with others.
